Seen (2013) – music for a choreography and performance by Jayna Cavendish

I was asked by choreographer and dancer Jayna Cavendish to provide an “immersive and mysterious” piece of music for her performance ‘Seen’. And so I did. The piece is about 20 mins. long and it consists of a slowly-evolving, metallic electronic drone, synthetic forest ambience (a heavily time-stretched recording of fingers rubbing a balloon), a time-stretched Japanese vocal and occasionally cascading synth pulses.
